Timberland first launched its “Path of Service” employee volunteer program in 1992 to give all employees a chance to engage in the community on company time.

We are part of the Timberland Stabio Product Hub team and we focus on a global functional lifestyle brand for apparel and footwear.

For our first volunteering program in 2018, we have decided to run the Milano Marathon in April to fundraise for the community of Cascina Redaelli in Bregazzana (Varese, Italy).

The intent is to renew the furnishings of the rooms of Cascina Redaelli to create a place where guests can feel good and share dreams and desires, in few words a place where they can "feel at home". Creating beauty - even in care environments - demonstrates how much dignity there is in every life, even if wounded. The area covers the living facilities, a farm with numerous animals, harvesting gardens, and sports fields.

We have previously supported the Community of Bregazzana with a community service day in October 2017. This gave us the chance to meet the inspiring team behind the Centro Gulliver initiative and the guests of the communities.

 Our running team: Emanuela, Hanna, Ming, and Sophie.

We will run for the 55 people hosted in the 3 communities of Bregazzana:

1. Community “Campo dei Fiori”: a residential rehabilitative therapeutic community for drug addicts;

2. Community “Tritone”: a specialist residential community for alcohol-addicts and poly-addicts;

3. Community “Approdo”: a specialist residential community for the treatment of subjects in psychiatric co-morbidity.
