Never give up!

Capelli lunghi, lisci, castano chiaro.

Never give up!

In cosa consiste?

Io ci sto, e tu? Corri con me!

La vostra pink runner
Elisa

Long hair, straight, light brown....
Then, a hairless head, perfectly round.
But now... new hair, sparse, like a child who has just come into the world, a sign of rebirth.
Something has changed.
Black and thick curls that do not feel gravity and want to fight the wind.
Then a balance returns that unites everything: you look at yourself, and your hair, straight, strong, of an intense black, reflects your experience.
Something has changed, it's life that puts you to the test and makes you feel alive. Today more than ever.

These years have been years of transformations. What happened to my hair is only a reflection of what happened to my life. The diagnosis of cancer, when you are 30 years old, and you feel in the middle of  your youth, forces you to stop and consider your life from a totally different perspective. But nothing happens without a reason, just like what happened to my hair; you fall, but you come back stronger than before!
Never give up!

It is with this spirit that I become a Pink Ambassador on the Running Team 2019, joining enthusiastically the project promoted by the Umberto Veronesi Foundation!
What does it involve? This is a double challenge that also involves you:
I will train to run a half marathon of "only" 21 km. (whoever knows me, knows that  I've never been a great sportswoman and this is my first attempt at running a marathon) - while you - to support me and all the Pinks, can contribute with a donation for cancer research, to find more effective treatments and medicine.

Probably some of you are finding out for the first time about my disease. Well, thanks to this project it's time “to show my face” - to give hope and courage to those who are walking this road, and for all those women who could avoid it with advances in research, and with your help.

I will run to demonstrate that after a disease life goes on,
I will run for disease to become less of a taboo,
I will run because it is good for health (and also to reach the finish line!)

I am willing to persevere and commit and also YOU can run with me and support the research with your donation! Together we can make a difference! I'm in, and you? Run with me!

Your pink runner
