Help for Mothers in India

Hello!

We are Alvaro, Andrea, Bernardo, Cora, Elena, Iris, Lucia, Puneet, Sylvie and Thordis.

In February we did a month of volunteer work in Calcutta with IIMC (Institute for Indian Mother and Child) and Project for People.

Every day, participating and helping in the rural clinics, we saw with our own eyes the extreme poverty in which so many people live. That is why we decided to raise funds for the mothers in the field. Our goal is to help them support their children.

The Cow Project is a concrete, immediate and lasting possibility to help them.

Thanks to this initiative, each mother will receive a cow. In this way she will have milk to feed their children and also a mean to make simple cheese to sell at the village’s market.

With this small income-generating activity, they will be able to fight extreme poverty. Since the start of the project to date, dozens of mothers have succeeded.

For every 80 euros collected on this platform, a cow will be delivered in the field.

This will give birth to a calf, which in turn, according to the rotation fund model, will be passed on to other women. In this way a donated cow can make a difference in the lives of several families.

We will personally follow up on the success of each donation.

We are grateful to all supporters who will contribute to our solidarity challenge. Every contribution, even the smallest, is of enormous value for the future of these women.

A febbraio abbiamo fatto un mese di volontariato a Calcutta con IIMC (Institute for Indian Mother and Child) e Project for People.

Ogni giorno, partecipando agli ambulatori rurali, abbiamo visto con i nostri occhi l'estrema povertà nella quale vivono tante persone. Per questo abbiamo deciso di raccogliere fondi per le mamme sul campo. Il nostro obiettivo è quello di aiutarle a dare sostentamento ai loro figli. 

Il Cow Project rappresenta una possibilità concreta, immediata e duratura per aiutarle. 

Grazie a questa iniziativa, ogni mamma riceverà una mucca. In tal modo avrà latte per nutrire i bambini e potrà confezionare semplici formaggi da rivendere al mercato del villaggio.

Con questa piccola attività generatrice di reddito, potranno combattere la povertà estrema. Dall'inizio del progetto ad oggi sono decine la mamme che ci sono riuscite.

Ogni 80 euro raccolti su questa piattaforma sarà consegnata una mucca sul campo.

Questa partorirà un vitello che a sua volta, secondo il modello dei fondi di rotazione, verrà passato ad altre donne. In questo modo una mucca donata potrà fare la differenza nella vita di più famiglie.

Ci occuperemo in prima persona di seguire il buon esito di ogni donazione.
