Nel cuore dell’Africa, in Congo, ci sono bambini che ogni giorno lottano contro la povertà e la mancanza di opportunità. Bambini che, come tanti altri nel mondo, hanno un sogno semplice ma potente: poter andare a scuola.

La Congregazione delle Suore di San Giovanni Battista, fondata nel 1878 ad Angri da Sant’Alfonso Maria Fusco, continua ancora oggi la sua missione: sottrarre i più piccoli alla strada e offrire loro una formazione umana, cristiana e professionale. Una missione fatta di amore concreto, di presenza, di speranza.

Oggi vogliamo portare questo carisma anche in Congo.
Vogliamo costruire una scuola. Non solo muri e banchi, ma un luogo dove i bambini possano sentirsi accolti, imparare, crescere e scoprire la propria dignità.

Una scuola è molto più di un edificio:
è un rifugio sicuro,
è una possibilità di riscatto,
è il primo passo verso un futuro diverso.

In the heart of Africa, in Congo, there are children who face poverty and a lack of opportunities every single day. Children who, like so many others around the world, share a simple yet powerful dream: to go to school.

The Congregation of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, founded in 1878 in Angri by Saint Alphonsus Maria Fusco, continues its mission to this day: to keep children off the streets and offer them a human, Christian, and vocational education. A mission rooted in concrete love, presence, and hope.

Today, we want to bring this charism to Congo as well.
We want to build a school. Not just walls and desks, but a place where children can feel welcomed, learn, grow, and discover their dignity.

A school is much more than a building:
it is a safe haven,
it is a chance for a new beginning,
it is the first step toward a different future.
