Legame d'Amore

Siamo entusiasti di festeggiare, nel 2016, il nostro 20° anniversario di matrimonio. E' un legame d'amore, e sappiamo di essere stati incredibilmente fortunati ad incontrarci.

Nel nostro percorso insieme, abbiamo avuto anche la fortuna di conoscere e poter sostenere progetti importanti. Siamo molto legati all'Associazione Italiana per la Lotta al Neuroblastoma, che ha avviato un percorso nel nome dell'amore più di 20 anni fa, come noi.

L'Associazione NB è stata costituita nel 1993 a Genova, la nostra città, per iniziativa di alcuni genitori di bambini affetti da questa terribile malattia e dei loro oncologi. Da allora, ha finanziato con oltre 22 milioni di Euro le attività di ricerca scientifica dei più autorevoli laboratori e istituzioni sanitarie in Italia.

Conosciamo personalmente e seguiamo l'Associazione da 15 anni, e abbiamo un’enorme ammirazione per l’impegno e la grinta con cui sostiene i numerosi ricercatori che ogni giorno lottano per identificare un trattamento efficace contro il neuroblastoma e i tumori cerebrali pediatrici.

L'oncologia pediatrica ha fatto grandi progressi. Tuttavia, ancora oggi, solo un terzo dei bambini affetti da neuroblastoma nella sua forma più aggressiva riesce a farcela - la ricerca di approcci innovativi alla terapia del neuroblastoma è quindi speranza di vita per questi piccoli pazienti.

"Insieme si vince" è il motto che ci ha portato a festeggiare 20 anni di matrimonio: aiutateci a diffondere l'amore e fare la differenza!

We are excited to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in 2016. It is a love match, and we know we are blessed to have each other.

Since the beginning of our marriage, we also have had the privilege of being able to support the purpose and projects of different associations that we encountered. There is one, that we are particularly close to, and that also started a path in the name of love more than 20 years ago.

The Italian Neuroblastoma Association was incorporated in 1993 in Genova, our hometown, on the initiative of some parents of children affected by this terrible disease and of their treating oncologists. Since then, the Association NB has funded with over 22 million euros the scientific research activities of some of the best laboratories and healthcare institutions in Italy.

We personally know and follow the Association since 15 years, and we highly regard its commitment and drive to support researchers trying to identify an effective treatment against neuroblastoma and pediatric brain tumors.

Pediatric oncology has made great progresses. However, even today only a third of the children affected by neuroblastoma in its most aggressive form survive - the research for innovative therapeutic approaches for neuroblastoma is the only hope for these young patients.

"Together we win" has been the motto that brought us to celebrate our 20 years wedding anniversary: please, help us share the love and make a difference!
