Domenica 5 aprile correrò, come ormai da tradizione, la Milano Marathon insieme a tanti Colleghi dello Studio legale Hogan Lovells. La novità è che quest'anno correrò tutta la maratona, non la staffetta. Trattasi di 42 Km e 195 cm. Sarà la mia prima maratona e quindi non so (immagino) ancora quanto sarà dura percorrere quei 195 cm... L'obiettivo comunque è sempre lo stesso: raccogliere fondi per i bimbi ospitati da questa stupenda realtà milanese. Dopo l'ultimo, grande successo dell'anno scorso (un pulmino nuovo ), quest'anno corriamo a sostegno del progetto "La normalità che fa bene ai bambini". L’Associazione CAF crede, infatti, che lavorare con i minori vittime di maltrattamento significhi garantire a ognuno di loro ciò che una normale famiglia offrirebbe al proprio figlio, integrandolo con opportuni interventi psico-educativi e di cura del trauma. Spese periodiche già di un certo peso per qualunque famiglia, come i consulti medico-specialistici, le vacanze e il tempo libero, un nuovo paio di scarpe o il piumino per l’inverno, lo zaino per la scuola e i prodotti per l’igiene quotidiana, sono per l’Ente un costo annuale ingente, ma imprescindibile per garantire a questi minori la migliore accoglienza e cura possibile. Associazione CAF believes that working with children who have been victims of abuse means providing each of them with what any normal family would give to their own children, along with the psychological and educational support required to treat their trauma. The regular costs that are challenging for any family, such as specialist check-ups, holidays and entertainment, a new pair of shoes or a winter jacket, the schoolbag and personal care products, are huge amounts for the association, but are essential to ensure the best possible housing and care.
