Cosa voglio fare? Aiutare le donne di Rumbek a portare avanti il loro percorso verso l'indipendenza per garantire un futuro migliore a loro e ai loro figli!

Ho conosciuto questa bella iniziativa tramite mio fratello Andrea impegnato con Fondazione CESAR a sostegno dei progetti umanitari in Sud Sudan in particolare a favore di donne e bambini e non ho esitato ad accettare questa sfida.

Ora conto anche sul tuo aiuto! Arriviamo insieme a raggiungere questo traguardo!

Come puoi aiutarmi:

Con 30 euro doni energia perché una donna frequenti un corso di alfabetizzazione così che sia in grado di leggere anche le ricette del medico per curare il figlio

Con 60 euro doni energia perché una donna impari a lavorare le noci Lou Lou e produrre burro di Karitè da usare per l’igiene personale prevenendo così molte malattie infettive

Con 120 euro doni energia a una macchina da cucire per un mese perché una donna possa avere una fonte di reddito sicura

Con 360 euro doni energia al Santa Monica Center perché la scuola possa continuare anche la sera quando cala il sole.

LIGHT UP THE FUTURE FOR SOUTH SUDANESE WOMEN

Help me to win this challenge: LIGHT UP THE FUTURE FOR SOUTH SUDANESE WOMEN!

What I want to do? Help South Sudanese women in order to guarantee a better future for them and their children. I knew this project thanks to my brother Andrea who is helping Cesar Foundation to implement projects in South Sudan, in particular to support women and children.

St. Monica Women Centre in Rumbek (South Sudan) was established in 2000 with the aim of  empowering women, the driving force of South Sudan, in order to eradicate poverty and ignorance in the society.

St. Monica Centre has been a pillar in advancing women interest in the Diocese of Rumbek. It empowers women boosting different activities, for instance adult literacy, life skills, income generation through tailoring and dress making, advocacy for justice, peace and human rights. The beneficiaries (130 women) are also engaged in handcrafts, beadworks, extraction of shea butter and catering.

Unfortunately the Centre faces some challenges such as no sustainable power supply; it depends on a small diesel generator for lighting. It has been expensive to maintain this old generator and it is not environmental friendly; for this reason CESAR Foundation intends to provide the St. Monica Centre with a solar power system of 15 solar panels, cheaper to maintain, environmental friendly and which will give the opportunity to light up the center more hours during the day so as to create an environment conductive to training and women empowerment programs.

By May 2021 we need to provide the first 5 solar panels, for that we need 10.000 euro:

- with a donation of 30 euro you can give energy to enable a woman to attend a literacy course so that she could read doctor's prescription 

- with a donation of 60 euro you can give energy to enable a woman to know how use Lou Lou nuts to produce shea butter for personal hygiene to prevent infections

- with a donation of 120 euro you can give energy to a sewing machine for a month so that a woman can work and receive a safe income

- with a donation of 360 euro you can give energy to St. Monica Centre in order to keep the activities going on also after the sunset
