Un'estate con…Liguria Mare…

Ogni anno l'Associazione ospita nei mesi estivi un certo numero di bambini per offrire loro un soggiorno terapeutico ricco del calore e dell'affetto di cui hanno bisogno: lo iodio marino riduce sensibilmente il cesio radioattivo accumulato, l'alimentazione adeguata, l'ambiente ed il calore umano contribuiscono al miglioramente psicofisico dei bambini che qui ritrovano la voglia di vivere.

Liguria Mare è un'Associazione di Volontariato con esclusive finalità di solidarietà sociale che sin dal 2002 si occupa di offrire aiuto a bambini orfani o sottratti alle famiglie che vivono in orfanotrofi della Bielorussia e che risentono ancor oggi delle conseguenze del disastro di Chernobyl.

Anche la prossima estate Liguria Mare attiverà questo progetto: aiutaci a sostenerlo, anche una piccola donazione può fare una grande differenza!

ENGLISH VERSION

In 2002 Liguria Mare has been registered (Charity Registration Number 1569 – 2003) as an Independent Charity Organisation recognized by the Italian Government as an ONLUS. The aim of Liguria Mare is helping Belarus Children that are living in Orphanages or in local families to fight their radioactive surrounding while Belarus took more than two-thirds of the fallout from the notorious nuclear disaster at Chernobyl in 1986.

Liguria Mare brings Children to Italy  twice a year ( one month at Christmasand three months during the summer) for a “ health-giving” holidays.  Although the Chernobyl disaster happened almost three decades ago, it is important to know that the level of the caesium in the soil is still high therefore spending four months away from Belarus allows them to enjoy clean air and fresh food helping to improve their state of health and their life expectancy.

Liguria Mare’s “host programme”  gives to those Children the opportunity to meet for the 1^st time  “host families”  throughout  an Host Summer Project. Every year Liguria Mare invites  six “new” children with their tutor and an interpreter  to spend two months in a local school provided by the Town Hall’s members. During this period of time they can meet local families interested to start from the next coming Christmas onwards an “yearly host programme” designed to primary boost their health besides giving them the warmth of a real family that any child is entitled to have.

Liguria Mare is now counting 23 Host Families and  the hope of  the Organisation is giving to six more Children the opportunity to find an host family willing to give the warmth needed. In order to achieve its goal, Liguria Mare, needs funds and support from everybody helping to continue this very worthwhile Summer Project  of improving “ year by year” the health of our Belarus little friends.
