Da 27 anni International School of Trieste sostiene Project for People ODV e IIMC Institute for Indian Mother and Child.

La nostra collaborazione è nata nel 1998, aiutando a distanza 8 bambini. Successivamente abbiamo contribuito alla costruzione di 3 scuole rurali a Hologokuria (2002), Jata Island (2005), Chaksalika (2016). Nel corso del tempo abbiamo sostenuto oltre 53 bambini. I docenti e gli studenti di IST hanno visitato in prima persona i progetti a Calcutta, prendendo parte a esperienze di volontariato a favore delle mamme e dei bambini sul campo.

Oggi abbiamo bisogno del tuo aiuto per continuare a sostenere 13 bambini in grave difficoltà. Questi bambini vivono nella povertà estrema. Necessitano di sostegno per ricevere istruzione e cure.

Nell'area rurale a sud di Calcutta, la mortalità infantile e l'analfabetismo sono molto diffusi. Andare a scuole significa imparare a leggere e scrivere, ricevere pasti caldi e controlli medici. Il pericolo dello sfruttamento minorile è sempre in agguato. Chi non va a scuola infatti è costretto al lavoro nei campi, alla privazione dei propri diritti umani, a una vita di stenti.

Il futuro di questi bambini si decide adesso.

Ogni donazione, dalla più piccola alla più grande, è un gesto di enorme importanza. Grazie a te la nostra scuola potrà essere al loro fianco nei momenti più difficili della vita. In modo continuativo potremo tenere monitorata la loro situazione, attraverso aggiornamenti precisi e periodici inviati da Project for People.

For 27 years, the International School of Trieste has been supporting Project for People ODV and the IIMC Institute for Indian Mother and Child. 

Our collaboration began in 1998 by sponsoring 8 children remotely. Over the years, we contributed to the construction of three rural schools in Hologokuria (2002), Jata Island (2005), and Chaksalika (2016). To date, we have supported more than 53 children. IST teachers and students have personally visited the projects in Kolkata, engaging in volunteer activities to support mothers and children on-site. 

Today, we need your help to continue supporting 13 children in severe hardship. These children live in extreme poverty and need assistance to access education and healthcare. 

In the rural areas south of Kolkata, infant mortality and illiteracy rates are very high. Attending school means learning to read and write, receiving hot meals, and having access to medical check-ups. The danger of child exploitation is a constant threat. Children who do not attend school are often forced to work in the fields, deprived of their human rights, and subjected to a life of struggle.

The future of these children is being decided now.
