Esiste una ferita profonda e spesso invisibile che alimenta l’emarginazione femminile: l’aver subito abusi, maltrattamenti o atti di violenza. 

La violenza, purtroppo, non è solo fisica. Per moltissime donne si manifesta anche come violenza economica (il controllo dello stipendio, la privazione della casa) o verbale e psicologica: frasi come «non vali nulla», «è tutta colpa tua», «ti uccido» che distruggono l'autostima giorno dopo giorno, spingendole fino alla strada.
 

Per loro l'Associazione Cena dell’Amicizia ha dato vita al Progetto Fenice: un percorso pensato sia per prevenire la marginalità, sia per curare le ferite di una vita in strada nata dalla violenza. 

• Quest'anno, abbiamo deciso di correre per loro e di sostenere questo progetto speciale attraverso la Milano Marathon!
  
  Un'accoglienza a 360 gradi
  Non ci limitiamo a offrire un rifugio. Ci prendiamo cura di ogni donna nella sua interezza:
  •    Come madri: proteggendo e sostenendo l'intero nucleo familiare e il legame con i figli.
  •    Come lavoratrici: accompagnandole verso una reale indipendenza economica.
  •    Come persone: lavorando insieme sulla ricostruzione della fiducia in se stesse e della propria autostima.

  Il tuo contributo si trasformerà in azioni concrete:
  •    Supporto legale e burocratico: una guida sicura per gestire le separazioni, il cambio del medico o della residenza e le iscrizioni all'asilo. Perché ogni donna ha la sua storia e le sue barriere da superare.
  •    Dignità e calore dell'abitare: la cura dei nostri appartamenti protetti. Ad ogni cambio di ospite imbianchiamo le pareti, sostituiamo i mobili logorati e verifichiamo che tutto sia funzionale, perché una casa deve essere accogliente e bella per curare l'anima.
  •    Presenza e sostegno emotivo: un affiancamento costante per superare gli imprevisti del quotidiano (un intoppo burocratico, la paura di essere rintracciate, le difficoltà scolastiche dei figli) affrontando insieme ogni ansia o fragilità.
  •    Ricerca attiva di autonomia: l'esperienza dei nostri operatori per supportare la ricerca di un lavoro e di una soluzione abitativa definitiva, accompagnandole fino all'indipendenza.
  
  Una casa non è solo un tetto. È il luogo che ci permette di dire a chi ha perso tutto: 'La tua nuova vita comincia oggi, e noi ti aiutiamo a costruirla, pezzo dopo pezzo'.

  The power of a fresh start
  There is a deep, often invisible wound that fuels women's marginalization: having survived abuse, mistreatment, or violence. Unfortunately, violence isn't just physical. 
• For countess women, it also takes the form of financial abuse (controlling their income, denying them a home) or verbal and psychological abuse—devastating phrases like "you're worthless," "it's all your fault," or "I'll kill you" that erode self-esteem day after day, ultimately pushing them onto the streets.
  That is why the Cena dell’Amicizia association launched the Phoenix Project: an initiative designed both to prevent homelessness and to heal the scars of a life on the streets caused by violence. This year, we’ve decided to run for them and support this special project through the Milano Marathon!
  
  Holistic Support
  We don't just offer shelter. We care for every woman as a whole:
  •    As mothers: protecting and supporting the entire family unit and the bond with their children.
  •    As workers: guiding them toward true financial independence.
  •    As individuals: working together to rebuild their confidence and self-worth.

  •    Legal and administrative support: clear guidance through separations, changing doctors or legal residency, and preschool enrollment. Because every woman has her own story and her own hurdles to overcome.
  •    Dignified and welcoming housing: maintaining our safehouses with care. With every new guest, we repaint the walls, replace worn-out furniture, and ensure everything is fully functional—because a home should be welcoming and comforting to the soul.
  •    Constant presence and emotional support: side-by-side guidance to navigate daily setbacks (a bureaucratic hitch, the fear of being tracked down, or school struggles for their kids), facing every anxiety and vulnerability together.
  •    Active pursuit of independence: leveraging the expertise of our social workers to help them find employment and permanent housing, walking alongside them until they reach full independence.
  
  A house is more than just a roof. It is the place that allows us to say to someone who has lost everything: 'Your new life starts today, and we are here to help you build it, step by step.
