Sostieni la costruzione di un laboratorio di artigianato ad Alto Chichireni, nell'Amazzonia peruviana. Uno spazio dove i giovani possano riscoprire le proprie radici e trasformarle in nuove e concrete opportunità di studio, lavoro e vita nella loro terra.

Nel cuore dell’Amazzonia peruviana, la comunità nativa di Alto Chichireni custodisce preziosi saperi ancestrali che oggi rischiano di andare perduti. La scuola secondaria, una delle poche sul territorio, non riesce a garantire spazi adeguati e prospettive future e, di conseguenza, molti giovani preferiscono lasciare la propria terra in cerca di opportunità altrove.

Per questo nasce il sogno di un laboratorio comunitario di artigianato, uno spazio educativo e culturale costruito interamente con legni provenienti dai boschi comunitari gestiti in modo responsabile, dove tradizione e innovazione si incontrano. Un luogo vivo, in cui studenti, insegnanti, artigiani e famiglie possano condividere conoscenze, valorizzare le radici culturali e creare nuove prospettive di crescita e lavoro.

Il laboratorio fa parte di Territorio de los Saberes, una rete di spazi comunitari ed educativi che integra i saperi ancestrali nei percorsi scolastici e promuove opportunità legate all’artigianato e all’economia circolare.

La costruzione è già iniziata, ma servono ancora € 40.000 per completarla e avviare le attività.

Support the creation of a craft workshop in Alto Chichireni, deep in the Peruvian Amazon. A space where young people can reconnect with their roots and turn them into real opportunities for learning, work, and a better future — right in their own land.

In the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, the native community of Alto Chichireni safeguards ancient knowledge that are now at risk of disappearing. The local high school — one of the few in the area — struggles to offer adequate facilities and future prospects, leading many young people to leave their homeland in search of better opportunities elsewhere.

That’s why the dream of a community craft workshop was born: an educational and cultural space built entirely with responsibly sourced wood from community-managed forests, where tradition meets innovation. A vibrant place where students, teachers, artisans, and families can share knowledge, celebrate their cultural heritage, and create new opportunities for growth and sustainable livelihoods.

The workshop is part of Territorio de los Saberes, a network of community and educational spaces that weave ancestral knowledge into school programs and promote initiatives in craftsmanship and the circular economy.

Construction is already underway, but €40,000 are still needed to complete the building and launch its activities.
